Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lucan people.......So Thorntons bin charges on on the hike up....again.

Annual service charge going up from 60 last year to 70 euro, was 50 euro in 2017.

    Bin lifts:

Black bin up from 9.90 to 10.50 per lift
Green bin up from 1.00 to 1.25 per lift
Brown bin up from 4.90 to 5.25 per lift

They quote an increase in insurance, fuel, environmental compliance and a reduction in the value of recyclable commodities........

Have any other bin providers in Lucan (City Bin and Greyhound) hiked up their charges for customers yet?

The funny thing is, when the green bins were “free” we were told that they were being subsidised by the black bin lifts.

So one would imagine that black bin lift prices would go down due to green bin charges.

But the prices are being increased on both here!

Ive recently heard recyclers sell sorted and processed recovered plastics (and general waste) as fuel? and that there is a large demand for it,
Seems like another cartel, increases just so you know there will always be increases
