Was watching some of it on SKY news today. Didn't get it all, but the Labour shadow Environment Minister wants a review done because he claims that the upkeep of the Moors by the Grouse/shooting groups is essentially "not all that" and that Grouse shooting can be damaging to the Moors.

When asked about the fact that these groups account for the upkeep of 60% of the Moors the Minister once again claims that other Moors are kept without the need for shooting however he does not state the percentage of Moors or who it is that does the upkeep. Usually a sign its low figures.

The other sellout twat already made a statement with his usual vitriol and lies. Thing is he has access to a microphone and tv crew, the hunting groups have to rely on invitation or written statements to get their message out.

That crowd have gone back to the 1970's lunacy, its all class warfare and fight the rich. Nothing to say about grouse shooting in a factual way, because they haven't a clue.

Some of the points Labour were raising and rebuttals published by Countryside Alliance and BASC.

100 years (give or take) and it's still as strong as ever. Shows the shooting and Moorlands are well maintained. Wonder if they'd be the same if there were not shooting.

And its in this era's that some people's mindsets and opinions on shooting and firearms types have been stuck since.Unfortuneatly they are inexplicably always called onto UK TV programmes to defend shooting for some reson too.

No, they are brought on to sit there and take abuse from the likes of Piers O'Mara, sorry Morgan or Jeremy Kyle. You are sat there to be made an example of for the braying masses, who wouldn't know a grouse if it bit them on the arse.

ANNNNNND HE'S OFF. Chwis Packham trying to add one and one to come up with five. An Eagle gets caught in a fenn trap, but its driven grouse shooting's fault.
