No surprise really given impact she has had.
Haters still gonna hate of course.

    The Boomers chose a Doomer

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

Yeah, look up who won it in 2016...that will show you how important the “award” is.

You're right, when she's filling out her resume, she's going to leave it out.

Bet she really regrets not being in school at the moment.

TIME don't consider it an award - the person, group, idea, or object "for better or for worse... has done the most to influence the events of the year". e.g. Adolf Hitler (1938)

    Well done Greta #UniteBehindTheScience :)

Is that part of the climate change brainwashing? If someone disagrees or doesn’t care about climate change it makes them haters towards people who do? It seems if you’re not on board you’re a hater lol

There’s a big difference between hating or disagreeing with someone. I personally feel no hate toward Greta at all to be honest.

You have to admit they are really good making all those floods and droughts and such. Must take a lot of work.

    Ditto.

The media and her fanbois are taking advantage of the poor girl, she’ll end up having a nervous breakdown. Of course here cheerleaders here will have moved onto the next big thing by then and will have forgotten all about her.

He's probably referring to all the personal attacks on Greta, a teenager who's simply trying to make a difference in her future.

How do you still not know how the Time Person of the Year Award works? I swear we do this every single year.

Ah, it's the old tactic - if you're not with us, then you're agin us.

Surprised she's in Brazil now, where next to lecture us from I wonder? Melbourne, Beijing?

When you have people congratulating her for it, it’s good to remind them of the company that she’s keeping.

All that’s going to happen here is an increased Carbon Tax.

Nope, she wont end up that way at all. The poor girl, lol, she's already lived more of a life than any of us. She'll be able to choose any university in the world to study at and she'll amount to great things. I've no doubt about that.

No , in a few years people will forget about her because people will be sick of hearing the same thing over and over again. If the government do make the cost of living too high and cut the living standards of the hard working class because of this crap ( which i doubt they will because only so far an elastic band can stretch before snapping) no one will want to listen to her, trust me.

Sure, she may not be in the spotlight any more, but she'll be successful in whatever she chooses to do, I've no doubt about that. And if you think taxes for the poor old working classes you all lament so much and climate change are going to go away, you can think again :)

    Why?

No offence intended, but you didn't realise you didn't have to have plastic bottles piling up on the floor of your car but could use a refillable container instead until it was pointed out on this thread.

What makes you so informed on how to judge Greta's future, or that of various governments?

Yeah because she comes from a rich family. Yeah you could be right about the working class taxes, but if it gets to the stage it’s not worth my while working i’ll go on the dole and your taxes can pay for it, because that’s what could happen.

Well you don’t have to worry, my retirement won’t be in this country ,but that’s what will happen, people won’t bother working so more money is needed so your taxes could sky rocket, you might not be so caring then.

But that’s a worst case scenario, there will be carbon taxes but not to the extent you hope or wish for.

Most people are not happy being idle, so we don't need to worry about lack of workers.

You are wrong there. Why would anyone work and have to hand it all back in taxes? They will emmigrate for a start. Like i said it will never happen, all it will amount to is a few cent on petrol and diesel.

Seriously have you nothing else to add except going on about some plastic bottles? That i might add took a longtime to build up.

What should i do with the plastic mouth piece the government gave me from the random breath test?

Tell that to Greta with her single use plastic bottles of Evian.

LOL, one of my plastic bottles that was in my car was EVIAN from my recent France road trip.

I think Tell me Now needs to have a firm discussion with Greta about metal containers.
