An exterminator sprayed a concealed wasps nest at about 5pm yesterday, in the eaves above our back door.

Today there is a major spike in the number of wasps around the site today and in the house. I thought there would be fewer by now. Is this to be expected?

What time of day did he spray it? He should have waited until dusk, when they would all have been in the nest.

About 5.00 PM. It was wet out and there were far fewer around so I guess there would have been a good number in the nest?

Job only took a couple of minutes. Could have done it myself as easily I think.

There would have been quite a few out of the nest, even if a bit wet. They'll disperse when they can't access the nest, or find the queen dead. However that may take them a few days.
