I am going to cancel sky so looking for a new replacement box but might buy this ( Ferguson ariva 220 combo ) to get me by in the mean time as my tv does not have saorview built in, i know its a old box but will get it for €10/15 but with no remote, is it worth getting for now it or is there a better alternative?

If you want to splurge on a new remote they are available

Provided it is working properly there is very little to complain about with just about all of the Ariva series.

I have an Ariva 120, 5 years plus and it's still going strong, no bells or whistles just a bog standard receiver. Sorting channels can be a bit of a pain on the 120, but other than that no bother.
