Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alternative to virgin broadband for family in dublin

    Looking for advice.

Currently living in Dublin 7 and using virgin. On going issues with dropping signals, no signal spots in house etc and all for €59 A month which I think is excessive.

Just wondering if anyone else has a different supplier that would suit a family with kids who play consoles and us parents that wish to stream Netflix etc in the evening without it buffering.

Afraid to make a leap of faith in case the service provider isn't powerful enough for streaming and gaming etc.

    Thanks

Find out what speed you can get first.

If its 12Mb with all the DSL providers vs 360 with VM you may want to can the idea of moving.

More than likely you are receiving a decent speed coming into your home. There are a number of factors that can interfere with speed etc. If the connection is dropping that is something that VM will have to investigate.

In my house there is a wifi blackspot. I purchased a set of powerline adapters and have never had an issue since. Might be worth looking into.
