I think there's a decent chance Pukki dries up, but when a 6.5 forward is scoring 4 in the first 2 games I think you have to make sure you don't get left behind and just get him in. The risks of being left on the bad side of this (not getting him in and him continuing his run) are too high.

Chelsea do not at all look solid defensively, Zouma in particular looks way out of his depth. I can def see him scoring in the next match - he'll get a few chances, I've no doubt about that. Also remember that Pukki scored against Liverpool at Anfield. There's an argument he's fixture proof.

At the very worst I'll be selling him for a 0.1 profit in a few weeks.

It's tough as there are probably lots of areas managers need to strengthen. I think I'm having an okay start (not good, not bad, 131 points), but I made 3 changes this week and there's still lots more changes I'd like to make. Still stuck with Locadia for example. However, Pukki is one player I'm not taking the risk on on missing the bandwagon.

There are plenty of cut price strikers that have done a job for a season, or the best part of a season, in the past. For example, Jimenez last year, Charlie Austin a few years back at QPR and to delve really into the past, Darren Bent back when he came up with Charlton!

Darren Bent, I remember the love. Bit of love too for Van der Vaart at Spurs.

There's not many strikers that get to 20 goals though. Jiminez got 13 last year. So best case scenario, you're most likely looking at Pukki to get another 12 or so goals over the next 36 gameweeks. This will end in tears

I think he’s well capable of it. He’s central to everything Norwich do in attack.

Is Salah to Sterling for a hit madness?

What price was Vardy start of league winning year?

If the goals dry up, just bank the cash and move on. No one is signing him for the next 36 weeks. If he ends up being a season keeper, great but if not, it's easy to move him on.

Kane was 4.8 at one stage in his breakthrough season

A wait and see for me. There’s a possibility he won’t start against Newcastle and the fact he is in the same price bracket as KDB is a negative against him for me. I think the Ginger Prince is a better option for the time being with his fixtures.

It's an exciting punt but I'll need to speak with the board about financing the deal alright!

Pererya to Trossard and Perez to Lanzini to avoid price drops. Wanted Lanzini initially as he had good form in pre-season but the opener against Man City put me off. With his assist and bonus against Brighton and some decent fixtures coming up, hopefully he can get some more returns. Trossard feels a bit more reactive but he was fairly lively at the weekend in a more attacking Brighton side.

Team needs a bit of surgery not sure what to do so opinions greatly appreciated

Current starting XI from last weekend
    Ederson (Button)
    Robbo Laporte Digne (TAA, Sanchez)
    Dendoncker, Guendouzi, Pogba, Martial, Sterling
    Auba, Origi (Greenwood)

Definitley getting one of the pool back 2 and origi out but no idea who to get in, any suggestions?

Currently toying with the idea of Trent to Kelly/Rico, Guendouzi to ?, Origi to Jimenez/Pukki for a -4 hit

Maybe Trent to Dunk /Montoya and Origi to Pukki for free.

Whoever you bring in for Guendouzi will start ahead of Dendoncker and not sure there is anyone in the price range worth a hit.

Really regretting going Cantwell Kane over KDB Pukki earlier in the week.

    Almost tempted to wildcard.....

Read somewhere recently that Mane has got 5 more goals than Salah in this calendar year so far. Hope that helps.

I think it can work but I'd do it as part of a multiple transfer. I wouldn't leave the money itb this week.

Captaincy is key and if we assume Milner starts after IB against NEW (H), opportunities to give Salah the armband are reduced between GW6 and GW12. (4 of the 7 games are against MCI, MUN, TOT and CHE)

I have already transferred Vardy to Pukki in this GW. My plan was to transfer B Silva to KDB in the next GW with the funds I had freed up but is it worth taking the -4 hit this GW. Thoughts?

I'm not sold on Pukki in the slightest but I feel like I'll be left with my pants down if he produces again this weekend given his ownership. Have missed the price rises so would have to buy him at 6.8. Two free transfers... anyone care to talk me out of

    Barkely > McGinn
    King > Pukki

    ?

Do we reckon Mount will keep his place as Chelsea's no. 10?

I would think so for the time being at least. Lampard seems to really rate him and the fact they were together last season at Derby works in Mount's favour as well.

As a Villa fan who has been watching McGinn since the start of last season, what is the logic of choosing him ahead of Ceballos? He is a class act but isn't that likely to put too much in by way of stats.

    Deeney injured :(

Already used my FTs, so any move involves a hit. Bring in Pukki for a -4? Will have to play Cathcart or Dendoncker otherwise.

Was hoping Perez might hold on til next gw
Looks like he'll fall tonight so I might upgrade him to Martial before I'm priced out

    I 2
I don't have much cash left though.
Is my back line too weak?

I was thinking of swapping Kane for.a cheap striker and improving the defence.

Still what you make of my team overall? Weaknesses?

Quick qs in relation to draft. I have both fornals and Anderson. Should I swap out fornals? Trossard and Harry Wilson are available. Cheers

    Have a mini selection headache.....
Need to play 2 from these 4
    Lundstrum home to Lecister
    Carchart home to West Ham
    Cantwell home to Chelsea
    King away to city
3rd sub no matter what will be Greenwood

I am treating Lundstrum as a midfielder in my head to make this easier as I am looking at either 541 or 451 and I do not think I have EVER played such a boring looking formation!!!!!

All predicted points algorithms have Catchart as the clear starter. I swore I would never start him again.......
Then it is tight between King and Cantwell with Lundstrum the 4th

I have had Lundstrum as the definite along with Cantwell but I am doubting myself now and wondering am I chasing last weeks points...........
Don,t expect much from King but he is a striker on pens in a home game...........

    Current squad:
    Pope

    Coleman

    Mee
    Montoya
    Van Dijk
    Mane
    Salah
    Sissoko
    Grealish
    B Silva
    Ings
    King
    Vardy

Played the free hit tab. Ditched Wilson, Kean, Zinchenko, Salah, Barkley, Siggy and Robertson. Introduced Kane, KDB, VVD, Jiminez, KWP, Martial and Tussard. Captaining Kane as I think he could do damage against Newcastle, and Sterling and KDB will do better vs Bournemouth than Salah vs. Arsenal (dreading this coming back to bite me though). Martial with 2 in 2, which probably means he'll blank now against CP knowing my luck with gambling :D

    So 4-4-2:

    Ryan
    AWB-VVD-KWP-Digne
    Sterling-KDB-Martial-Tussard
    Kane (c)-Jiminez

    Happy enough

    Took a -4
    Robertson, Barkley, Perez out
    DeBruyne, Cellabos, Lundstram in

    Pope
    VVD Lundstram Digne Diop
    Salah Sterling Cellabos DeBruyne
    Kane King

.5 in the bank to upgrate Diop/Rico next week (or possibly King - Pukki if he keeps scoring)

If you could only start 2 of them .............
I’ve always been someone who plays attackers over defenders and I just don’t trust Watford at home to west ham so I’m finding it hard to start Catchart
Norwich are VERY attacking and Chelsea are VERY open so Cantwell is almost certain for me
King ......I don’t know . Kane hardly got a kick against city last weekend and he is obviously much better than King . Fairly sure Bournemouth rolled over at home to city last season too

    And then there is Lundstrum

I’d play Cantwell and probably King. He’s at home to City, not away and does have pens in his locker.

I think Cathcart and Lundstram have a 2 point ceiling tbh (I reckon both concede) so I’d roll the dice on a Bournemouth consolation.

    Montoya
    Lundstram

Who to play? I have Trossard in midfield so maybe Lundz but I also have Madison playing in my 11.

Yeah that is the way I am going I think
Started week as 541 then moved to 451 now 352. I just prefer chancing attackers. And City do have a habit of giving away consolation goals
