Double up with Mount and Abraham? Chelsea have great fixtures after Liverpool.

I like Burnleys fixtures too and Barnes is the only attacking option I’d consider
I don’t trust Chelsea enough to double up

    Hello............
    Howya,
Wildcarded last night, had a bit of regret but too much deadwood Ceballos makes it glad I did. So many options up front.
    Outgoing
    Ryan, Button
    Coleman, VVD, Kelly,
    Dedoncker, KDB, Salah, Ceballos
    Greenwood, King
    Currently on
    Pope, Button,
    TAA, Lundstram, Hanley, Tomori, Söyüncü,
    Sterling, Mane, James, Mount, Cantwell
    Kun, Pukki, Abraham.

Now we have 2 of the same strikers.............
Slash or mane is going to be the most difficult decision
That extra 0.9 allows me a second decent defender
    It’s currently digne and scrap!
Not sure I’m brave enough to go without salah though

Have you considered Aurier? 4.9 is a nice way into that defence. Let's me go James, Ota, Greenwood to 4.4 mid, Aurier, Pukki

It's not a great week to wild card, some nice fixture swings upcoming in the best few weeks, and Liverpool Chelsea playing each other

thinking of using mine to upgrade the bench as im doing quite well as it is, any opinions on:

    Possible WC team

    Pope Heaton

Delph Rico Otamendi Lundstram Soyuncu (enough in the bank for Mendy who should be back soon)

Salah Kdb Mount Hayden Douglas Luiz

    Wilso Kun Vardy

    Old team:

    Pope Heaton

    Ake TAA Otamendi Lundstam Johnson

Salah Kdb Lanzini James Douglas Luiz

    Wilson Kun Greenwood

Hold it, no need for a WC there

Aguero TAA & Hayden for 343

    Or

Greenwood Robertson & Sterling for 352

    I can't decide at all!!!

The first, but the games during the week could change all that.

TAA and Hayden are better, the other two are interchangeable. I am moving from Sterling to Aguero as part of the WC (and idiotically confirmed without thinking of lost value, so not going back!!)

Pretty much what I did with Sterling to Aguero.

Going without one of Sterling or Salah is brave. Going without both is madness.

2.4m ranked, might as well try something different.

Honestly think there will be little difference between Salah , Mane and Aguero is a safer pick over Sterling especially with pens

it was a terrible week to wc as I missed 2 rises on the sat night and most now wont rise till friday night or fall in the case of dendoncker who would give me the extra .1 I needed
And now Mount is injured so it may be back to the drawing board although they are playing pool so I may just keep money ITB if it is short term

I feel I have made a mistake though as I have had no time at all in the evenings to look at fixtures or cheap defensive rotations..........

Think the Mount injury makes it a bit easier for me. Was torn between Tammy, Son, Ota or Auba, Mount, Aurier.

I know what you mean, think I'd have been as well off with a minus 4

I have one big decision to make
    Stick with salah or mane
Before last night I had decided to play it safe and stick with salah
I had team done and was happy enough with it

Now if I want Abraham I might have to downgrade salah to mane
I’m not sure I want to take that risk

Really haven't a clue what defence I want.

Currently have: VVD Digne Soyuncu Rico Lundstram +0.7m
Thinking of: VVD Digne Soyuncu Tomori Lundstram +0.2m

Would happily downgrade VVD if there was any alternatives I really want, not sure it really gets me any better though
Matip Digne Otamendi Tomori Lundstram +0.3m

There's options at all the top 6 clubs (Maitland-Niles, Aurier, AWB) but not sure they're much better than the West Ham, Burnley, Villa defenders. They might be just as good the way the season is panning out.

Any thoughts on the best back 5?

Yeah the City situtation is making it tricky

    Think I am betweeen

    - Soyuncu, TAA, Otamendi, Lundstrum, Rico

    - Aurier, TAA, AMN, Lundstrum, Rico

Spurs and Arsenal have great fixtures coming up - Tomori feels like a trap to me

I think I am going to make an awful ****e of it and compound my bad start
I just don't have the time for it this week and should have left it.

I have somehow ended up on this and don't ask me how
    Pope Button
    Digne otamendi soyancu lascelles lundstrum
    mane kdb mcneil cantwell hayden
    aguero abraham auba

It is an almighty risk to go without salah (and pool defence ) in my main league but my defence was a wreck altogether until I raised 0.9 by going mane
I do not know how i ended up with 2 newcastle players!!!!

I think that’s an awful ensemble dude.

    You may start again.

It looks like a bit of everything without any real direction/conviction. Bar Digne, Aguero and Aubameyang it looks like you’ve picked the lite version of the players you want.

Do yourself a favour and pick a team that includes Lundstram and Cantwell, as starters, and take it from there.

Cantwell is starting for me even in that :D
Lundstrum has awful fixtures otherwise I would have no prob starting him

Real life (and a ****e head cold ) has made it a disaster to be honest
I don’t have the time to be thinking about it properly
Will have another look tomorrow night
And sure that’s it then Cos of the Friday deadline
That was when I had planned on wildcarding to avail of the extra price rises
Instead I left myself with only 5 nights to do it

    Thanks

Sorry I can’t be more constructive but I’m not sure what your current team is.

Going without Sterling and Salah seems mad but maybe isn’t.

My WC team now would look something like -

    Pope, button

    TAA, Lundstram, Digne, Rico, Kelly

    Salah, Sterling, Martial, Mount, Cantwell,

    Aubameyang, Haller, 4.5

Edit - Lundstram, and to a lesser extent Cantwell, are OOP and deserve to start every week regardless of opposition.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,399 ✭✭✭✭ThunbergsAreGo

Most of these are locked in now

    Pope Button

    TAA Otamendi Soy Lundstrum Rico

    Mane Cantwell Son KDB Hayden

    Tammy Pukki Aguero

    Left to decide -

    Son Ota Vs Auba Aurier

    Soy Ota Vs AMN Aurier

    Son Hayden Vs Mount Martial

Feels like most of my team are playing each other this weekend...

Lundstram not a starter for me anymore, Sheff Utd dont keep cleans too often and arent all that strong attacking. Grand sub to have of course and I wouldnt mind him coming in. Cantwell on the other hand a definite starter now

Some interesting picks in there, cant but feel you will want awildcard again in a few weeks.

Have tried all week to get Auba in and just cannot get a team that makes me happy with it

He is the one that is causing the problem no doubt about it
If I didn’t want him I wouldn’t have wildcarded though .......I think I’m going to roll with the bones of that team
No salah is my main worry

    352 for me.

As above in order to fit Auba it means losing Salah for Mane plus loosing a Liverpool defender as well.

Risky but I now have Son, Aguero, KDB, Auba & Mane, all decent captain shouts.

My main premium defender is Digne with a budget fill for the rest. This may backfire but can be fixed with a - 4 with loosing say Auba/Aguero.

    This is it isn’t it
Auba down to a cheap striker and it’s easy to rejig
I’ve decided not to wildcard to match the teams around me
I’m falling back so I’ll go with the sword rather than shield !

Auba has a faor higher celing then TAA or Robbo so that's how i've justified it! I'm sure it will be a fun ride without Pool defence.

Thought I was set with my frontline
    Sterling KDB Mane Son Cantwell
    Pukki Abraham (Fodder)

All this Auba talk has got me interested.

Who are people going without (or are they playing 3 up top)?

    It's:
    Current: VVD/Son/Pukki
    Stay 442: Matip/Lamela/Auba
    Go 433: Matip/Pukki/Lamela

    (Lamela could be Mount/James too)

    Wildcarded this week:

Not sure about Aurier to be honest, Could get in AWB after Utds next 4 fixtures maybe? Soyuncu might be an option too with their fixtures

Looking like this at the moment:

    Pope (Button)

    Aurier Maitland-Niles Vestergaard Lundstram (Rico)

Cantwell Sterling Mane (Hayden Douglas Luiz)

    Aguero Pukki Aubameyang

    .6 In the bank

I am getting very tempted by a similar front 6....but Cantwell as a 3rd midfielder seems a little risky
