Tried to find the answer on Google. But originally heard Jimmy Chung's closed down recently to a gas leak. Then heard it's closed for good.

    Anyone know the deal?

    Cheers.

    It's all you can eat.
You pay a set price, then eat til you are full.

There’s a sign on the window advertising an auction of the contents. Looks gone to me.

I'd say it's closed about 2 weeks plus, doesn't look to be much work if any going on inside on a refurb.

Solocheck says a meeting of creditors took place on 09/08/2019...

Such wonton destruction of their accounts caused them to go under.

I'm sure the owners are Peking out from their hideout now...

Never been there as I find I'm generally disappointed with the quality of all you can eat type offerings and you come away bloated because you over indulge. I remember that very sad story about that poor girl who had a peanut allergy eating their satay (she unfortunately did not know that peanuts were a core ingredient of satay) and getting a fatal reaction a few years ago. The chemist around the corner in O'Connell St could not give her the necessary combative medicine without a prescription despite the mother pleading as her daughter was dying outside.

Surprised it actually closed though as it always seemed busy or packed even any time I passed.

More likely MSG than over indulgence.

Sad to see it go. It's one of those places you'd go to every once in a while and stuff yourself. Guess it was doing bad business.

Tbf to Chungs it was generally better quality and with better choice than other similar establishments. Though it was more expensive too
