Who are people picking for the mid season player? I'm looking at them and they're all just fodder!! Same as the 3 picks in the last season, these really should've been some TOTS players that they didn't include in the teams, at this stage of the game what's the harm?

Ooof, tried Promes/Tagliafico today, and am selling them again.

Despite trying to set up the counter attack team, it just feels like my front four are stuck in the mud. Part of it is everyone having pacey defenders, part of it is so many people playing deep, but there's noticable difference in, say, how fast Auba is in my usual teams, and how pathetically slow he is when I'm running a pacy front four and the game just messes with things.

Sancho feels as if I could do more with him if I juggle things round, but those two don't. So might switch back to a United past/Present/Future team :P

(Especially since I just spotted Ronnie is down to 200k...)

Just done an 83+ and got Henderson in it. He can replace Fred in my Prem team. I don't like having Liverpool players but it's an upgrade.

Got Cacace in the ROW guarantee. Wasn't going to do it until I saw the requirements, it's dirt cheap.

Just the deluxe sbc again, not doing it again today out of spite.

I’m not putting players I worked for in objectives etc through that garbage sbc just because they were too greedy to give us the proper one.

No upgrade sbc’s either.

For some reason they added all the Icons to Career Mode the other day......only problem is because of their age they literally all retire after the end of the first season anyway :pac:

So, not only did I get two absolute **** 89s, they don't even count towards the TOTSSF requirement. Cause god forbid they'd give even an inch.

I got a card worth 750k, after throwing in Mandanda.

Except for the glaring issue that I had just said about doing a Man United team.

Even better they all get OP regens.. a good addition to be fair... ticks the box for EA’s promise of making icons more accessible :pac:

United team is gone again. Getting Salah and Vardy just changes too much up for me not to use them. So I'm looking now at this with 1.1m to spend on CDMs. Suggestions welcome.

Luis Alberto and Kimmich for Gold 2.

Not really worth much, may use Alberto a little but at the minute I automatically sub that position for Gueye at the start of every game and I can't see him being better than him.

Henderson is only 170k, which feels stupidly cheap. So grabbing him.

It's hilarious that EA are still trying to say that pack weight is determined solely by OVR Rating when every second pick contained Immobile and barely anyone has seen a Sancho.

At least Hinteregger will give me chemistry with the other Austrian CB I packed last night so I’m all set if there is an Austrian objective!!

Kovacic tots is only 90k or so too. I got him as a red pick in prem tots and he does a good job as a sub in the cm (stay back) role.

I know this sounds weird, but when I have 1m to spend, looking at Henderson and Kovacic for a total of 300k leaves me feeling Ive not invested as much as I can. Plus I worry I don't find CDM's sexy to buy....

I'm looking now at a 4-1-2-1-2 which gives me a free striker space to fill, and wondering if I'd have more fun grabbing Aguero or Son, rather than two CDMs.

I loved Aguero's gold card early in the year. Could try his TOTS for 1m coins.

Nope...that’s the final straw.
All special players quick sold and tradeable will be put back up for sale.

So after messing around I reckon I’ve about 1.7-1.9mil left.

I know there was 3 people here who wanted it but I’d prefer to give it to someone whose team really needs an upgrade.
Or just split 3 ways.
Will do it sometime over weekend once I’ve the rest of the players sold.
