Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone ever do Budapest to Bucharest by train? Or Krakow to Bucharest? Any ideas of the best website to check out tickets?

Did overnight from Budapest to Brasov last year. Used seat61 for info and booked via https://www.mavcsoport.hu

Booked a 4 person sleeper. It was grand. No buffet carriage so picked up some snacks in supermarket across from Budapest station.

Train departed and arrived on time. Two passport checks either side of midnight.

Great, thank you. How long did the journey take?

Think train pulled out around 18.45 and arrived into Brasov around 6.30. It's another 3 hours to Bucharest I think.

I'd recommend Brasov for a couple of nights. While there we (group of 4) organised a minibus and he took us to Prejmer fortified church, Biertan and Sighisoara one day and Peles Castle the next before dropping us at hotel in Bucharest. Was pricey but worth it because we got to see more. I love driving but there is absolutely no way I'd drive there

Edit - just looked up timetable. There must be works going on because the travel times are much longer.
