A user on another thread suggested this, and I guess it could trigger some discussion, so why not give it a try.

    So, using this site:

    https://www.golfbidder.co.uk

You have £500 and have to build a playable set of clubs.

Post them up here, and let people agree with/laugh at, etc... your decisions.

I'll lead off (all available as right handed clubs):

Driver: Titleist 913D2 £95 (was aiming for the 910D2, but was only available in a senior shaft in right hand, so trying to be realistic with shaft options too)
    Fairway: Ping G5 3w £45
    Hybrid:Cobra Baffler Rail H 19degree £36
    Irons: Mizuno MX100 4-PW £185
    Wedges: Cleveland 588 RTX CB 2.0 Tour Satin 52degree & 58degree Total £90
    Putter:Odyssey DFX 2-Ball £44

    Total Cost: £495

Only came up with a set of 13 clubs, so maybe a bit of a cheat but it's easier said than done to come up with a decent set. Think I got a few nice options in there.

Seems Cleveland Wedges are the go-to when you're trying to find value for money

It's what I always play, usually 100 new on most sales.
