three bedroom log cabin of around 1000 sq foot.

    Thanks

    Interesting.
Have you gained planning permission for this 3 bedroom dwelling?
Be interested as many people are looking for same here in Dublin.

    Most are sheds.

Why not just answer the question he asked? What business is it of yours if he has planning or not? How do you know he's even building one?

Standard house electric and plumbing (+ renewables) to current regs 25-40k

Log cabin electric and plumbing to current regs anyone’s guess

Because the regulations are different for Habitable Buildings as opposed to Garden Sheds. That's why.

If the OP states what he's building then the answer will be more focused on that type of development.

Now, why don't you answer the question or if you have a problem with my posts, report it like a big boy and stop crying into the internet.

If it’s in a back garden, at that size, you won’t get it. It’ll be presumed it’s for habitation and it’ll fall at the first hurdle based on fire regs (fire engine wouldn’t be able to access).

I would save your money and don’t bother applying. It will he refused planning.
