11 is plenty for 99% of people I’d reckon. Obviously the pro is better but it’s not better by the monetary amount.

The camera quality alone was worth the move from
The X for me. It’s noticeably better in my opinion.

Just saw my first Max and held it in my hand. Fine machine for reading emails, social media and Internet forums!!! Is max only on the PRO??? Does it put much extra onto the Pro price???

Going ahead with the 11. How’s everybody getting on with theirs?

It’s excellent. Only couple of places it falls down for me is because I came from Android and there’s things I miss (very little though). But the two biggest metrics for me are camera and battery and it’s very good in both areas. For someone coming from an iPhone it’s especially a no brainier.

One full micro sim and one eSim.

One full micro sim and one eSim.

It's a nano sim not a micro sim, and the esim is not supported by any operator in Ireland, so pretty useless unless you are travelling.

Thanks. My 2nd sim is a Vodafone Spain nano

Then you should be fine, just get Vodafone Spain to swap your nano sim for an esim.

NOTE, many networks only support esims on contract , not prepay. (don't know about Vodafone Spain but I think it's contract only)

Apologies got nano and micro mixed up, silly naming :)

Changed from the OnePlus 7 Pro to the iPhone 11 128gb today, first iPhone since the 5s a few years back. Lovely phone and a bit easier in and on my hands due to size and weight. So far so good!

This is the one I use and it isn’t too intrusive.

who went for the 11 instead of the 11 pro ???

    and why choose the 11

Size and price for me. Standard Pro was too small and the Max wasn’t worth the huge price difference for what you get over the 11. LCD (no burn) was another consideration at the time.

One thing to keep in mind is how long you generally hang onto a phone. If it’s 1-2 years than the 11 would probably do as you can upgrade when a redesign comes along.

If you usually keep them for a few years then the pro might be the better option over the long term.

There’s supposed to be a bigger redesign in 2020 so good to keep that in mind too. High refresh screen, reverse wireless charging, design/notch and all that type of stuff instead of smaller spec bumps.

So if you’re gonna be tempted to upgrade next year the 11 might suit for the next 12 months.

 cheers for that little nugget lol

Just got the Pro Max and wondering how to protect such an expensive piece.

Has anybody bought the leather cover from Apple at €149 ?

What about the Belkin InvisiGlass UltraCurve Screen Protection at €49 ?

These are available directly from Apple so I haven't been able to see either of them.

I have the standard apple leather case on my 11 pro max and while it looks and feels great in the hand it doesn’t offer much in the way of protection tbh. Very little lip around the phone. The folio version might be better but if it’s protection you want I would go for an otter box or tech 21.

Would an otter box not add lots of bulk to an already huge phone ?

Ive an otterbox symmetry on my 11 pro max, not that bulky but yellows quickly so wouldnt reccomend. Also have 2 of the apple silicone cases which are nice but not very protective when it comes to the lip above the screen.
