Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replace foundations

Hi, Looking for advice re foundations and a few more bits!
We've bought a little corrugated iron holiday home with the intention of doing it up and building a small extension, keeping under the floor area so we don't need to go down the planning route.
The existing structure is built on a concrete slab. Its a wooden frame structure, clad in corrugated iron sheets with a bit of insulation and plaster board inside. There's a bit of dry rot in the wooden frame but not too bad.
Because we can't demolish it, i'm looking for advice as to how to improve the foundations and how to replace the wood without knocking it down!?

Can’t offer structural advice. Best to get structural engineer involved. Note your not necessarily exempt from planning if you extend, best to check that out with the council.
