which minerals are lads using pre tupping?..bloods in ewes and sulage tests show we are low here in iodine, cobalt and in a high molybdenum area so copper has to be supplemented here too.. currently looking at the mayo healthcare 5 in 1 bolus @€;1.35 per head..but wondering if id be better with a dose type mineral?

Growvite sheep about 5 weeks b4 letting in rams

Mayo healthcare 4 in 1 bolus, the day rams are let off.

maybe a bit of of an overkill but seems to work ok for us.

Copper is supposed to be a natural growth promoter, they look well after it anyway, we can use it on the texel cross vendeen lambs but not on the texel cross lleyn lambs.
Apparently there's so much texel in purebred LLeyns now that they can't tolerate copper either........... of course I had to find that out the hard way

We got a good few cases of photosyntesisation which can be symptomatic of copper poisoning and then the dead ones had too much copper in the liver.

Have seen photosyntesisation without copper drenching too?
