Whenever I try to open any app, I'm getting this message.

Essentially all I can use on the computer is use the browser (Chrome)

I've tried seeking help on Youtube, google, etc but all advice I've seen requires some sort of interaction with an app. I've tried to disable the antivirus (AVG) but I can't get access to it as I'm greeted with this same message.

I cannot use the search function. I cannot get into the control panel to even try uninstall the AVG.

Anything I do, aside from browser, is blocked by this message.

    Windows 10 by the way.

I have a very basic understanding of computers so if any advice/suggestions could be given in rudimentary English, that'd be appreciated :D

    Thanks all.

Do you have access to AVG? Can you open it?

Nope, whenever I try to open it I get the same message.

What have you done so far to fix this issue?

I have tried to disable the AVG by using the shortcuts at the bottom right of the taskbar but it's not in there.

I have tried to uninstall it but I cannot get into my control panel to do so.

I've tried following Youtube advice, I'm not sure what exactly, but I cannot follow the instructions because they all seem to require access to an app or the control panel, which I don't have.

There's now an 'audio renderer error' on Youtube.

Are you able to run command prompts?

    I am not.

Hmmmm I am not sure what to do at this stage if you don't have access. Another poster might be able to help you.

I think I'll just bring it to the computer shop.

Thanks for your help Slippin Jimmy :)

Just reinstall or attempt to repair/reset Windows. Sounds like something critical has become corrupted.
