Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Humax 1100 series link issue

I’ve had the Humax 1100 for about 3years now, no issues at all. But recently I changed up some of my series links, cancelled the HD channel recording and set it up on the SD channel as it uses less space on the box, and now they are recording past the selected programme.

Eg I have a series link for emmerdale at 7pm, and a separate one for Corrie at 7.30, but the Emmerdale recording will carry on recording Corrie, while the Corrie series link is recording too, so I end up with two recordings of Corrie, on in its own series link and on the Emmerdale series link.
Then some days it will record other random shows between Emmerdale at 7 and the next episode at 8pm.
I thought it might be something to do with the two Emmerdale split episodes, 7pm and 8pm, but then one day there was no Emmerdale at 8 and the 7pm episode recorded for a full 1hr and 30mins!
    Any idea what’s going on?

I'd try delete all shows scheduled to record and input again what you want to record.

Alternative would be factory reset and see how that goes.

I’ll try deleting the planned recordings again and see what happens.
Will I lose all current recordings with a factory reset?

I had a 1000s for years until it died.
Genuine freesat boxes like this use the CRID system for series link recording.
Great system, but relies on the content provider ( the channel) keeping the CRID,s up to date.

For the premium channels, i.e. the HD channels, these are given priority and the CRIDs are usually very accurate, for regional SD variants and plus one channels though, they are very poor indeed, often under or over running and sometimes just recording something else entirely.

Its highly unlikely that there is a hardware issue, just very poor maintenance of CRID data, which is entirely the fault of the broadcaster, your best bet is to go back to recording from the HD channels, they are given more attention and are more accurate.

I’ve gone back to the series link on the HD channels and cancelled the other one, so I’ll see how it goes.
    Thanks, makes sense
