This is known as "the tail wagging the dog",similar situation in my house with the kids, they've all left the house and I'm already getting texts about a change in collection times today, I'm definitely not in charge here.

After 2 coffees and feeling a little fragile, need to put on tan that I should have put on last night but couldn't be arsed, wondering how I'm going to get everything done today that has to be done, I'd be less stressed in work tbh.

Deskside, back in from harvesting potatoes - not a huge crop but the weather was against us here, though today is a beautiful day, sunny and fresh. Smurfed your dog is just lovely. The world is a better place when you share it with dogs. (and cats if your a cat lover, but they share more of your world than theirs, independent so, and so's)

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Hehe. The cat left a magpie on the doorstep. Friday the 13th. She's badass, that one.

Sad to see the beautiful bird dead, of course. That's sometines the way of the animal kingdom. The symbolism is just amusing and impressive.

Homeside. Chilly morning, bright sunny day.

Maybe you have to work a week in hand and wait for back pay, that's often the case.
Just make a quick phone call to the payroll department and they'll tell you.

No I should have been payed this week, all the other new lads were, was already onto payroll yesterday and today, first it was it will be in Friday midnight, then it Friday 7am and now it "well it's gone through and it should be there" yet I have nothing from them, I'm just being fobbed off now and its annoying and has ruined my weekend.

    Ah, that sucks.
It probably has left their bank but if you are a different bank to theirs it might take 24 to 48 hours to hit your account.

I remember many years ago - without realising it a work colleague's wages had been paid into my bank account (it included weeks of emergency tax payment) he was up in arms wondering where is money was - I hadnt even checked my account to see I was well off for a week -

I wonder would they have made a mistake anf lodged it elsewhere - either way that's a right pain. Hope you get it sorted.

Hope you'll be ok while you wait for the wages mess-up to be rectified, Seph. It happened to me a few times (one of those was Christmas week) but due to accross the board software issues. It's a bit more nervewracking for you when other new lads received their wages.

Homeside again.Feeling a bit off, must be the moon. Have every reason to be happy and I have been so...mystery.

Thread is always good for lifting the mood :) Except the serious stuff of course
but its good we all have a listening ear for each other.

Lying in bed while my world revolves (literally) around me.
Thinking about what I want for my birthday.
An alpaca and a handheld dyson so I can hoover him to make him fluffy.
14 days people, you got this.
