Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't beat a baked spud Mam and chopped up lettuce, onion and tomato is Mrs Gs fave with some Mayo. I blame her late mother.:D But I'm trying to drag her into a different salad world these days like rocket, peppers and all that fancy pancy stuff which does taste really good if presented right. Jaysus I sound posh.:D

Very sorry for your loss SSS. Losing a loved one so young is tragic and heartbreaking. Please remember to look after yourself.

Couchside, with the TV on in the background. Had a lovely big walk in the park - great way to work off anxious energy and to clear the head.

Off grocery shopping in a few mins.

Ah I've been introduced to grand oul salads over the years that taste great. As I said Mrs G. was a strict chopped Iceberg lettuce, onion and tomato with mayo girl for years. I was too with cucumber as well.

Home made Lasagna from the freeze tonight. Thawed before the reheat. Mixed leaves:D chilli olive oil dressing, dollop of coleslaw and spicy wedges.

Wondering if I should go home or for a cocktail. It’s approaching my birthday and I’m off all my medication that I couldn’t drink on, so in for a penny and all that. My throat is as dry as ghandis sandal but that’s probably from all week

    You need to ask :D

Wondering if I should go home or for a cocktail.

Where they nice? It's very humid here at the moment, if I'm drinking a cocktail it's either a whiskey sour or a mint julep, but with the muggy temperature here at home I'd certainly drive a few mojitos into me. Proper ones, with crushed ice. I'm content with my few cans of generic cheap lager though.

Am up about an hour now and shocked at the lack of hangover after a night out.

Was meant to be just me and my fella for dinner and one or 2 drinks in the new branch of my regular pub but one of my mate's, the bad influence, wangled her way in. Ended up doing shots and cocktails until after 2 am.

She wanted to see me to tell me bout her new jobs b coz she leaves for it on Saturday. It's in freakin Kazakhstan! Who the heck goes to live in Kazakhstan? My mate clearly. Bonkers.

Now to summons the energy to start editing some articles.

Usual for me, balcony with a Nespresso and the mutt watching to world go by, 98FM playing Thin Lizzy Whiskey in the Jar. What an awesome way to start the day.

Finally got to take my time in lieu, I'm actually owed two days but this will have to do.

Looking at a beautiful sunrise over Dublin bay, its stunning.

I'm trying to wind myself up to running a 10k this morning and unusually I've a complete lack of 'get up and go' this morning.

Here's a photo of Richo from last nights walk on the beach

....The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves. Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays, Roy Orbison singing for the lonely, Hey that's me and I want you only....

    Morning all,

It's a cloudless sunny morning although a coolish 8C atm

Kitchen with coffee cereal stuff like that, my enthusiasm for work is here somewhere too :D

What an incredible morning, the sunrise would take your breath away, only sorry I didn't have my camera with me. At the coalface since just after 7 a.m. all is quiet so far but a few reports to get done today then just a handy few hours to do tomorrow and Friday, next week looks to be busy also but we'll deal with that when it happens. Have a great day everyone.

On way to work smothered with a cold. Slept 7.5 hours last night. Feels like someone changed my batteries.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

I hurt my ankle what's the word, not "cavorting" not "gallivanting"...well, acting the maggot with my fiancee yesterday. He wants to take me to have an Xray just in case, even though he thinks it will be fine with rest. It's pretty shades of purple.

I had to smile when I looked at Boards and saw posts about ambrosia creamed rice, only a little while after he was telling me "RICE. Rest ice compression elevation."

    Synchronicity.

Had a really lovely time anyway and my batteries are charged after that.
The weather is glorious lately, and the sunrises and sunsets are a joy to behold.

I’m going to the ploughing and carrying on a once yearly tradition of getting stoned (instead of being roofied) then going to look at the piggies.
I’m not stoned now but this pic cracks me up. https://ibb.co/sjdYdDq
