Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dosed with a cold, so doing little today - boring!!!!

Still at the tech desk since 8.30am. Catching up. Another few hours to go. As the weather is crap this week, I'm expecting to get ahead of things. No temptation to stray outdoors.:D

Hope everyone’s evening is fun! And hot whiskeys for the sick folks! Flu is a great excuse :D

Little bit of editing to darken the morgue up! :D

If I had photoshop on my work laptop I’d have added some ghosts or zombies!

You can but have to stagger the doses from what I remember.

I hope your kids get well soon. Mixing medication I would read the pamphlets about what to or not mix just to be on the safe side. Your meds are different to what I know here it is always safe to be cautious.

Yes, ones paracetamol and one is ibuprofen.
You’d give calpol day at 8pm, nurofen at 10, calpol at 12.
I’d say it to Mammy anyway, just incase.

    A. I'll never be on the 'etiquette' thread.

    B. Bed? Not a hope. It's only a heavy cold and a bit of a cough. I can't remember the last time I took to the bed during the day

Ibuprofen (Nurofen) and paracetamol (Calpol) can be taken together if needed and if they are suitable for your child.

Leave 4 hours between nurofen and calpol bubbly.

Yeah the way it was explained to me bubbly was that nurofen is supposed to be 3 times in 24 hours which is every 8 hours and calpol 4 times in 24 hours which is every 6 hours so if you want to keep them topped up say constantly, stagger every 4 hours between the two.

Yep Sky , they can give them together in the hospital , but they usually advise parents to stagger the doses when they're at home .
That was my experience anyway tbh .

Home , happy rainy Monday evening :)

That's right Mam. Certain doses are only given in a hospital scenario.

I wasn't sure if things had changed or not Wizzy , it's a long time since mine were small tbh , but I know when the grandkids were sick , they were told to stagger the doses .

In my day it was disprin or lemsip :D
