    Hi

Has anyone here ever been prescribed a benzodiazepine for anxiety.?
    was it effective.
Besides ssris what else have people been prescribed for anxiety?

Seroquel (quetiapine) has changed my life. I use it in combination with an SSRI (sertraline). Best to go with what your doctor suggests, everyone is different. Personally I'd always avoid benzos unless in an acute crisis, and even then I'd probably only take them if I were an inpatient at the time.

I have not been prescibed seroquel but I have been prescribed many antipsychotics that dont work for anxiety for me. They just sedate me and make me feel brain dead.
