I am using AIB platinum card regularly and bills around 1500 a month.

There is a supposed to be a cashback of 1% but I see some cashback only ever 6 months.

    Any idea about this?

    From AIB.ie:
    Cash Back Awards:
Spend over €5,000 (and up to €50,000) in any 12 month period from your account opening date, we will give you 0.5% of that amount back (maximum award for each 12 month period is €225)

Yeah, it only kicks in after the first 5k, then it's 0.5% p.m.

Not a bad deal if you use the card a lot. I've got over €160 back since Jan

I have definitely spent over 10,000 euros on that credit card this year. But not getting any cash back. I have set direct debit, so it deducts money automatically around end of first week of every month.

What date do you receive this cashback? Is it monthly?

Ohhh, I like the idea of cashback on a card. I use one for nearly everything anyway.

Just keep in mind it's capped at €225, so you need bill ~50k on the card in a year to get the full amount.

(KBC give 1% but capped at €120 for the year, but no starting limits)

It should also be noted that you only get cashback on certain types of purchases. Not sure why they have to make it so fcukin stupid. If it wasn't for that BS, I would have replaced my Platinum with this card.

I just checked, I got tenner or so every month up until June 2019.
Is it possible that my annual credit cycle runs from July to July, which means I need to spend 5k after July in order to get cashback awards?

    thanks.

in that case its really a no brainer if you pay it off in full each month.

I think i'd probably put 10-15k a year onto my card. I could do more too if it was getting me some rebate. and at least it would cover that fecking govt tax!!!

I have this card and since getting it I only use my debit card for cash withdrawals which isn't often.

I use this credit card too to top up my Revolut account.

0.5% isn't much but it applies to everything and it all adds up.

    I do the same.

Have you noticed if your annual cycle for cashback rewards has reset?

I am not getting cashback for last 2 months. Tried calling them but on waiting for like 20 min so I hung up.

If you spend 10k in one month and then didn’t use the card for a while would you get any further rebates?

Based on my normal usage of the Plantinum cc, I get approx. €10 per month cashback. But I didn't get anything for January & February of this year even though I would have used the cc as normal. Then in March I got cashback that was approx. three times of my usual amount... might be a similar case to you OP?
