Hi. I’m looking for a recommendation for a 43-59 inch around the £500 mark.

We have purchased about 50 kids movies on our Apple TV. I see that Samsung now has the Apple TV app built in, so I like the idea of being able to ditch the physical Apple TV box we have. I’m looking at the UE43RU7400 or UE50RU7400. Do both of these definitely have the App?

From what I’ve read, I would get a better TV for the same money if I went with LG. Am I being short sighted wanting a Samsung just for the Apple TV app?

    Hi walshy123,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you!

The Samsung UHD TVs are the first TVs to include the Apple TV app. They are very good TVs however certain models of LG would give you a better picture. I would recommend either the LG 49UM7400 at £429 or the LG 49SM8600 (LG's top of the range LED TV) for £749. I think the LGs give a more natural picture quality than the Samsungs.

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David
