was hoping there'd be a newspaper ad so we wouldn't have to wait until the announcement!

Any idea what time announcement is made ?

12.30pm announcement. Not too long to wait!

Few of the names being suggested here - Fontaines and Deadmau5 - have gigs in Ireland in early summer which have yet to sell out. Might mean they aren't on the first announcement but added later, I'd guess.

    But anyway, I'll guess:

Rage Against the Machine (fairly confident about that...)
    Run the Jewels
    Liam Gallagher
    Miley Cyrus
    Dua Lipa

Not too different from everyone else.

There'll be a decent Irish contingent - was Dermot Kennedy there last year?

People like Lewis Capaldi and Sam Fender seem like a sure bet too.

As ever, the undercard is where it gets interesting.

Already missing one or two that would have been good to see like Bright Eyes, though.

didn't realise Deadmau5 was playing here, I retract him from my guess so!

I was going to say Capaldi, after he finished 2 gigs in the 3Arena the other day, but he's playing Malahide and Cork in the summer, so can't see him at EP (even though he's at R&L the week before).

Dermot Kennedy and Sam Fender both played last year, but I could see Fender coming back for a higher slot.

If anyone is not using their BYEco invite please feel free to PM it to myself.
Was in their the last two years but didn't register last year(used a friends ticket as only got last minute tickets for EP last year) so didn't get the invite this year.

    Thanks

    Also me too!

If anyone has a spare eco invite that they aren’t using it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a mill

    Lol I'll join the queue!!!
If any spare links after the previous requests have been catered for I would greatly appreciate it... meself and the missus are getting too old for the general mayhem of the regular campsites... or so she keeps telling me... :D

Thats for the BYEco... just incase anyone was thinking of sending me other "shady" links...

I was hoping to go Eco camping this year. I didn't get an email since I haven't been before. Do they open it up to applications later in the year?

    Me three!

I was in last year on someone else’s ticket (ta Ann Marie!) and never registered when I was there, like an idiot.

It will be May I was told for next release of BYEco tickets

Soccer Mommy for this year? Supporting Haim at Trinity but a lot of hype and push behind her so returning could be likely. Soon to be huge and EP almost always ahead of the game.

Big year this for the festival. With the loss of B&S and huge capacity increase.

Sure would it not be EP lineup announcement day if it didn’t absolutely lash.

Biffy Clyro playing the 3Arena in October, so that rules them out.

And here I am, hiding out in my bedroom because of a cough and a bit of a wheeze, waiting to get assessed, at least I'll get to see a list of what I won't see

James Vincent mcmorrow has tweeted he loves a good picnic in September!

I love him so announcement already off to a good start!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,772 ✭✭✭rubick

    FYI folks,

Some punters are having problems with Eco Campsite Loyalty ticket registration when responding with Chrome browsers - I sent a Facebook messenger note to them and they responded within 5 mins, and sent the ticket out again.

    Things are Happening.
