    Hi folks

My current setup, I have 2 sats, one for Freesat and the other (80cm I think) is pointed at 13E hotbird

Boths sats with FBC LNB's feed into my Vu Duo 4K

Are there any other Sats available to me "indirectly" on the 13E pointed dish

I use 13E to get all the Tivùsat & Mediaset Italian channels for my Italian wife

But Id like to play around add more English or 4K channels if any more available via another Sat, I just dont know whats in the sky

    Thanks

    Hope that makes some sense

Have a look at the King of Sat website. With the right equipment, there are a range of sats you could receive. Nearly all the English channels will be on 28.2 so just be aware of that. Depends what you want really.

19.2 easy to get and there's a lot of FTA channels there (mostly German).

My own setup has one FBC LNB pointing to 28.2, and 4 normal LNBs going into a Diseq switch. Like yours, there are two sat tuners on my box. The LNBs are on one dish.

It only dawned on me after I posted, I would have to forfeit one of the two physical Sat tuners, stupid me

    Tuner A (c,d,e,f,) Freesat
    Tuner B (g,h) Hotbird
    Tuner I,J Saorview

If you don't record much off Hotbird, you could use a Diseq switch. But I suppose that would be a sacrifice.

Contrary to what some people talk of, there isn't that huge of an amount of primarily English language content to pick up via a satellite dish in Ireland outside of 28 East (and 9 East for Saorsat).

With an 80cm dish focused on 13 East, it shouldn't be difficult to add an additional LNB for 19 East which would bring in BBC World News Europe HD, CNBC's Europe feed instead of UK & Ireland's, the Sky News "world" feed, and a number of German channels that will bring back nostalgia to those with analogue set ups back in the 90's! From looking behind the dish, facing the LNB cap, the 19 East LNB would lie to the right of the Hotbird LNB.

Aside from that, there's not much I can think of that is FTA and has English language soundtracks that could be received with an offset LNB on an 80cm dish aimed primarily at 13 East. General rule of thumb is that satellite positions +/- 10 degrees from the focal point is about the mark where going further out starts to see significant signal losses where only very strong signals (like 28 East) can be picked up without having no rain fade margin if they can be reliably received at all.

Monoblock for 13e and 19e works very well even in very heavy rain and watching 4K channel with 80cm and if you have Samsung tv no delay when switching from a channel on 13e to 19e .The LG tv's don't really like monoblocks .
