Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have an old corporation house with a small extension to the side. Want to start working as a hairdresser from home. Do I need planning permission and do I have to pay rates? Any help welcome.

Planning permission for change of use to salon.
    Fire cert.
    disabled access cert.
    BCMS using an Assigned Certifer.
    rates.
    Water rates.
    Commercial insurance etc.

expect fees of 10k ish just to get through the statutory processes and inspections. Build costs on top of that.

All assuming you’ll get planning which can be difficult for this type of change depending on location.
