Free/Cheap Parking near St Patrick’s Hospital for Mental Health services

Was just wondering if anyone knows of free/cheap parking near St Pats?
Daily rate is very expensive.

Do well to find free onstreet parking maybe up on Grand Canal Place & around Guinness's (Echlin St/Bond St are pay and display), there's a carpark on Thomas St at the back of Lidl which may or may not be cheaper than Patricks.

Might be a bit fair away but there is a huge section of parking streets near Pimilco on Marrowbone lane, it was fenced up for a while but seems to be open for business again and the parking is free. Its on the corner of Summer Street, bit rough but we have left our car there for days on end.

Muesum of Modern Art/Royal Hospital Kilmainham is only a 5-6 minute walk from St.Patricks Hospital, charges are 1-3 hours €3.00, 3-4 hours €5.00, 4-6 hours €10.00, 6+ hours €15.00 which is reasonable enough for the area

Also Hueston Station across the road do daily rates, should be on their website

The grounds of St Pats is €2.20 an hour but if you are visiting a lot they have a weekly ticket for €25

If it suits, you can use Luas (Heuston or James's), Dublin bus routes 13, 25a, 25b, 40, 79, 79a, 90 123, 145, 746, 747, Irish Rail Heuston station (which also has lots of local and long distance buses serving it.

Sorry to post on an old thread, do can you drive down Steevens Lane to access St Patricks Hospital? It seems to say Trams and Access only, I assume that is access to the hospital? Don't fancy meeting a tram! Or what is the best entrance route? tks
