James McClean should not be on this team.

We finished the half the stronger, somehow. They've been utterly dominant on the ball, but we've had better chances. Strange game. Though I think we'll still be doing well with a draw if we can't show a bit more brains on the ball at times.

Anyone see much of Cullen for Charlton? Does he play DM? Would he not be a better shout than Whelan with Charlton going well in the Championship.

The main positive from the half is that we're not behind. We looked very exposed in the early stages but seemed to be more compact as the half went on. Stevens very disappointing for the most part. McClean looks like he's having one of those days so I'd be looking at O'Dowda on at some point - probably if we go behind. Set-pieces look our best route for getting a goal.

Good thing he’s in the team so.

Ray Treacy has also scored, should we bring him back? Long isn't the player for this game. What chances have we created that he would have scored? McGoldrick much better option, he will create for others.

No. Ray treacy is to old at this stage. Don givens Niall Quinn and John Aldridge would be a better option than tracey. Long is a better option than all of them. And Mcgoldrick.

Nervy game but were not doing too bad. We could be in the lead but then we could easily be behind

Lots of empty seats up here, lots of swiss fans making noise

Yeh he can play there. Arter can too. Two better options than Whelan.

Let’s hope the second half of this match doesn’t be played in a brothel so.

I agree he’s not the answer at this level. Nor is Long though.

So is it traps, o neills or McCarthy's fault we can't play good football? I can't remember

The Swiss Eamon Dunphy will be raging.

Is Sadler for real?! “You’ve gotta put in a better delivery there” as Hourihane puts one exactly where he should have between penalty spot and 6 yard line.

Agreed. I feel Long is marginally better. Regardless of who starts i think long is still an option off the bench.

Duff is of the ‘say what you see’ school of punditry

Why dont they just go 4-4-2 and all out hoof and be done with it.

Stop pretending to be something we're not.

Mick can tell Robinson what he likes. I don’t think the raw material is there

    Hopefully a Switzerland player dives.

    Then Jim can say:

"That's what they call a Swiss Roll George"

    Mr Robinson offers very little.
