Eir throttling their new data plans ?

    Since I opted into their new uncapped data plans I have experienced really slow data througout the day. Any thoughts on this ? Are they throttling their new data plans over their legacy ones ?

    It's painfully slow tethering to my laptop now.

    Was it not automatic in the next bill cycle (or top up) rather than opt in?

    Anyway try it on 3G to see if it's any better.

    Or else their network is congested with users trying out the higher cap.

    Any chance you've exceeded the 80GB fair use, check the phone usage versus eir's recorded usage.

    Its actually been a issue with the network nationwide
