Killing Ivy

    Sounds like a thriller movie, but...

    Have ivy around the garden. It's totally died off on one side, I suspect the neighbour killed twitch something because it was very quick & only that side was affected.

    There's about 15 plants which have been growing for the best part of 15 years so plenty of thick woody growth.

    The wife looks at this as an opportunity to get rid of the whole lot & put fencing up to take away the bald look of the wall. To be honest, it's about 18-24 inches deep in most parts of the garden despite trimming twice a year, so it'd be nice to get that space back.

    What's the best way to kill it off so that it's totally gone?

    Had to get rid of lots of it.... Best way is to go to where its coming from the ground and pull/dig it out. Or cut it as low down as possible.
    You would be better off cutting it back as far as you can so you can see what's going on.
