    I hate a 12.30 captain personally

I'd be surprised, Palace won't take many thumpings.

They’ve performed abnormally well against xGC plus I’m not sure about them as a team anyway tbh - I think Son/Kane can do some work on them.

League average is currently xG 1.62 per game

vs Palace it's actually avg xG 1.85 per game

(.50 vs Villa, 2.88 vs Man United, 2.40 vs Sheffield United!!, 1.60 vs Everton) -> Total xGC = 7.38 and they've only conceded two.

Hence the ‘half’ risk comment though

EDIT: To add- Guiata is performing well above his xS too.

With players dipping in and out of Palace's defence because of injuries there has to be some lack of cohesion right now.

It feels wrong not captaining Salah at home to Newcastle.

But Norwich are prime for a thumping. It's too hard to ignore...

This is the hardest one in a fair while including last season

I am absolutely TERRIFIED of Sterling captains this week.

    Haha - I get you

It's just I'm trying to justify my choice really!

Can go too in depth sometimes, but for me to be able to break my decision down, it solidified it for me!

My memory, which could be playing tricks on me, is of Aguero being rested around Champions league away games.

He had a nice two weeks rest.

I don't see any indication of him being rested now. Pep being Pep you never know, but there are others who played one or two matches that I would be worried about.

Called the thumping. Sadly Kane couldn't get in much on the act at all. Bye bye Harry

Not entirely convinced by Kane’s output this season at all so far, however I need a half a risk to get my season going, so I went with him.

Palace due a thumping I think.
