Anybody know if there is another center-fire range closer to Dublin then the Midlands one?

Don't fancy driving an hour and a half to zero my stalking rifle

Have they not been building it for years now?
You'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult once they have all the necessary documentation for the rimfire and clay grounds

    No they havent,
And no its not a simple process at all. It requires planning permission, then the work has to be completed, it has to be inspected and passed by the cops and department of justice etc.. Reports have to be done etc. its complicated and expensive.

I was there a few years ago now looking to plink away on the 22 range and was told they had discontinued day membership cos someone had been banging away with a centrefire unbeknownst to them.
I was then told they were in the process of building a centrefire range, like I say that's a few years ago now.
I've no doubt the process is complicated and expensive but I'm sure they'll recoup their outgoings.

Wonder how someone could of been " banging away unbeknownst to them"..with a centre fire firearm...would the range officer in place not of known the SOP ? That is a professional range which is long established...
There are all sorts of stories about calibers, distances and ranges ongoing for years out there...
