New Drogheda Saorview transmitter

Just wondering if anyone else in the Drogheda area has noticed that Saorview is now (since last week's switchover) being broadcast from Dunleer on channels 22 and 25. My neighbour has a tiny (and cheap) wideband aerial in the attic that was always patchy from Clermont Cern but now receives the new local muxes at 99 percent. This is despite the fact that the aerial was positioned for CC. This might help things if we all have to adjust the aerial on the roof to recieve Divis now that Kilkeel is banjaxed!

Yes, it was one of 2 new transmitters switched on last week, the other is Wicklow. They are to counter inward interference from the UK into areas along the east coast.

It was switched on for trials about 6 weeks ago, and in turn took out any of my customers that I had set up on CH25 for sky eye distribution 😡
