Funny how Joe never mentioned the obviously prearranged 'when is a flag not a flag' calls on the preview.

There was no way we weren't going to be entertained by that tale. Joe would lose face in the Cafe de Museseum de 1916 if he bumped his experts!

I only half listen but the guy came back from Germany to here where after 35 years its hard to rent never mind get housed by council.

Gets housed by council and phones Joe to complain it's not good enough.?

    Is that right.

All time classic a few years ago where some chung wan was complaining to Mr. Duffy that her free council apartment was up one flight of stairs and she couldn’t cope wit de chislers and dat - there was no fadder of course, anudder series of immaculate conceptions. Cue some guy ringing in telling her “maybe if ya kept yer legs closed you wouldn’t have so many problems”. De bad line masheen was swiftly activated after dat.

She couldn’t get a bag of coal up the stairs if I remember correctly

The legs closed comment was one of the greatest put downs in the history of Liveline

    Brexit. The "Regretferendum"

The Cork man from yesterday. Smuggling people from East Germany. If you're from Germany , How has re-unification worked out for you?

    Cat converters being stolen. Again.

I have to laugh, Joe says of the Cark man that he is in the terminal phase of his illness, then in same breath says he hopes he has a long life ahead of him. And that he misses his dog, Fella, who is about 30 years old now and entering the Guinness Book of Records for canine longevity.

It's not one I've heard before, but one I shall be using from now on so to speak.

Joe should do a "where are they now" programme on some of these chancers
Did she continue to lump bags of coal up the stairs? Or did the council relent and give the poor woman a ground floor flat?
    What happened next??

    Can't get tickets. Big deal
Who cares, but it's an excuse to moan on the radio.

Isn't it great Joe has fixed the housing crisis, the waiting lists etc, that he can now tackle the real hard hitting issues of the day.

Joe Duffy you are a disgrace. I will always remember the part YOU played in the low turn out for Pope Francis. Day after day your show served as an anti attendance programme. And at the same time you were more than happy to provide radio commentary . HYPOCRITE

Joe in jovial mood today. Perhaps his accountant and agent have worked out a way to rook the licence payer negotiate a higher fee.

Have them stand on Sandymount Strand, endless room cone high or low water. Last in have to go to the deeper water, but sure they wouldn’t be higher than knee deep. And very last in could swim if necessary, sure the water’s warm enough now.
