A de facto Cavan lady, de cute hoor!

You must make an impression in de tent, raised de canvass off de pegs and lay bare and naked de RTE crew. And let there be no hiding place behind de curtain for Joe, de way Ray disappeared behind it. I’m sure yer variant of Tipp accent will do just as well as a Doobalin one. Goodness knows I spent an entire Christmas in Tipp, surrounded by strong Clonmel accents and it was frightening, and they were, like, posh variants of the tribe.

“How dare you have your literature printed by a foreign press, whilst you take €400K plus from the Irish taxpayer....”
I have some Clonmel relatives. They have that terrible Waterford twang "no doot aboosh it".
The North Tipperary version is much more mellifluous as Sligojoek will attest.

Anyone else going to the Ploughing tomorrow? Míni Radio Beers then a Funny Friday heckling?

Did you use public transport there?

I have a mate who went to Sofia just to see the public transport (we are a pretty cool bunch of lads).
He spent all his time on the trams. Apparently you get a weekly ticket for the price of a few Dublin Bus journeys, and it's all highly efficient and reliable.

There should be some EU cultural exchange where we can exchange our city planners with Bulgarians and Czechs, although I'm not sure why the other side would wish to participate.

Didn’t use de poobalic transport; was very centrally located but saw it in action. There’s a virtual underground ancient city partially intertwined with de metro. City is full of sparkling fountains beloved of the citizenry, which would take on totally different characteristics if translocated to Doobalin town. Plovdiv has a park with a big blue lake of singing, dancing fountains; it too would take on a different life in urban Oireland.

I hadn't heard of Plovdiv before I googled it just now. Time to start saving some pennies for a breakeen, I reckon. Looks interesting.

The mobile coverage down in Fenagh is decent enough, I'll try get to the RTÉ Tent if it isn't too busy. Hopefully there'll be a "fcukin' hell" moment in the tent

its a disgrace the way we treat people with disabilities in this country

You can’t say “disabilities” on Da Lahv Lahn Sept, it’s “difference” so to speak.

Half-read the thread before giving up. It’s worser it’s improving (the show not the thread!).

Joe's back. Funny Friday on a Thursday from the "Costa del Carlow".
Camp as the campsite at a camping convention.

If that was said anywhere but on Da Lahn Lahn I would ask "did he really say that?", but I'm not new here so I won't. I assume he and the FunnyFryday Crew were creaming themselves laughing at that too.

Also RTE managed to put the story of the huge hole in the finances into the public domain while you were on your little jaunt Joe.

Joe you are a bad, bad, bad, bad b@stard.
