I recall an article written in the Irish Time around 12 years ago praising Sean Quinn as an astute and careful business man, whose only indulgence was his weekly game of cards for a few quid. In fairness to the journalist who wrote the piece, i imagine many people did have a good opinion of him back then

Why did Sean Quinn write to the Vatican about Fr Oliver O'Reilly’s now famous homily denouncing a mafia- style godfather consumed with hatred behind the vicious attack on a local businessman. ?
I’m sure Fr O’Reilly had no idea of the name of the paymaster involved .

Just gone back with few weeks reading old articles on the Sean Quinn story
My thoughts he was wronged namely the big accountant boys have caused this sorry mess
They were cause of him buying in , and well able to get behind the calling in of debts afterwards
He should have been allowed some time to trade out if he had shares given to Anglo !
Anyway I feel for him , I know he’s bit agronant but u would too if u were bullied by the d4’s

Ah yes, the us v them schtick. Pathetic gombeenism.

What is it about the Irish psyche that people stay loyal to those who have obviously done wrong. A bizarre trait.

Quinn was the master of his own fate. Get over it.

Not at all as the priest said himself the dogs on the street knew who the paymaster was as he was seen drinking with Dublin jimmy in the pub when it got heated and said paymaster was heard saying to Dublin Jimmy what are we paying you for

    Nope, he's a colossal cunt.

Right he might not be the nicest of guys , but everyone in this country got a second chance to keep there houses , the builders that helped break this country are all up and running again .

I have never heard that they cut a proper deal for Quinn !

Maybe they did , still looks like they went to war on him from the beginning and what could he do only retaliate!

Would anyone here but actually any different all said and done ?

A deal for what? Why should he be entitled to a deal anyhow? He obstructed the court to the point that he actively was asset stripping, he was done for contempt of court.
