Is it me or does that list seem smaller than usual?
I know I wouldn't watch the majority of things anyway but wonder if it's due to lack of stuff being made, more competition or just buying less.

It is but TV production ground to a halt and is only slowly resuming so there is less new stuff out there for everyone. In the US major networks are scrabbling to buy imports to fill the gaps and I guess Netflix should look to the same model - except probably a lot of content is bought up already. It's a bad time to price an increase though.

Watching Sweet Home at the moment and it's not great, I've even put on the dubbed version so I can mess around on the phone while it's on!

Watched Bumblebee, bit corny in places but very enjoyable - I felt the bot fight scenes were well done didn't overshadow the film (looking at you Mr. Bay) - I've fast starting to like John Cena as an actor, only other thing I've seen him in was that Blockers but he seems to be a decent enough actor

Went googling to see if there'll be a sequel and while one hasn't been officially announced both the director and the main cast have said they'd love to do one so hopefully it'll happen - it didn't make as much in the box office as Bay's Transformer films but it was made with much lesser budget and was the first in a good while to make a decent profit, so fingers crossed

Watched "The trial of the Chicago 7" last night. Really enjoyable. There are parts where real footage of events is blended into the film. Always makes it that more real. 90% on RT as opposed to 2/5 by the Irish Times. I'd be definitely going with the RT rating.

While factually true, the "from the creator of black mirror" seems a tad misleading. Doesn't bother me one bit as I'd much prefer what this appears to be as opposed to some covid-y episode of Black Mirror.

Great way to finish a trailer too. Certainly whetted my appetite.

Except this one is taking the piss.

Just ignore me, I'm an idiot. Had a quick glance at the trailer on my phone and thought, not another one of these things!

That’s worth the price increase alone

Took me a good 5 minutes to try get to the bottom of what the hell the above is to then discover that it's not something I'll be checking out.

Finally got around to watching the 2nd season of 60 days in. What a fantastic show. Amazing insight into the human psyche. I'm not quite certain that the concept of the show is as portrayed but how the people react to being incarcerated all follows a similar line. Highly recommended.

watched 3 episodes of The Ripper. The first 2 were good , concentrating on the victims and the hunt for the ripper. The 3rd episode went off on a tangent about why were so many men involved in the investigation and reporting of the case ?!?

Never seen a show go downhill so fast from 1 episode to the next

I'm at exactly the same point. At the end of episode 2 when I realised there were 2 left I actually said to my wife "I'm guessing there will be zero development in EP3, and then all wrapped up in last one"
The basic maybe seems to be spread over 3 episodes, with number 3 really being filler.
That said, I haven't watched the last one yet, so I could be proven wrong if the least episode follows on like EP3 rather than getting back to the real story.

Yeah it's very good and it's not my genre usually and I've no interest in chess.

I think the last episode is more talking about the ripper himself. I thought all 4 parts were good. Nice to see the old footage of the crowd around when he was being escorted to and from the court.
