Absolute bollocks it was a glitch, They seem demand for bigger prices

Lets not go into the fact that westlife concert is overpriced and the concert goers are mad to spend any money on them

The hotel is completly Out of order to do this.

Happens all the time with the big sporting finals too, incredibly frustrating

If they went to the media with that story it'd go viral I'd say.

Is it just me or does that email look dodgy? "Queries for the property" doesn't sound right. And why are they giving an English phone number for Jury's Inn in Cork?

    That email is completely bogus.
"but your booking is definitely cancelled" :D

    Free market. Supply and demand.
Terms and Conditions etc etc etc

    Nothing to see here.

In fairness there was demand for the hotel room when they supposedly initially booked it, the hotel then supplied it via the booking.

Obviously they can up the price and demand more from those willing to pay for it, but assuming it's a true story, bad form on the hotels behalf.

Why is it UK number for a Cork Hotel?

The Central Group Reservation for Jurys is based out of the UK - hence the UK number. Story is legit, been on RedFM all morning - happened to about 4 or 5 people so far.

Definitely a case of the hotel cancelling everyone who booked a room at a low rate and offered it to others at a higher price. No way it was a technical glitch as someone had booked a week before Westlife was even announced
