On the BBC is it just ignorance, passive aggressive or downright disrespectful that they don't refer to to Leo as Taoiseach?

They promoted the Minister of State to Finance Minister last night while interviewing him. I noted that he didn't correct them.

Has Arlene walked into a political trap here:

    https://amp.breakingnews.ie/ireland/arlene-foster-backs-new-brexit-plan-as-serious-and-sensible-way-forward-954550.html

She emphasises that its all about political consent. So, the EU should reply to the UK that they would propose that the backstop can be terminated by a majority of the people of NI in a public vote.

Arlenes meaning of democratic consent is that a party of ~30% support could veto the will of the other parties. It will be impossible for her and all the 17.4 million voters crowd to deny that a straight up majority vote is even better democratic consent

At moments like this they tend not to have anyone "available". He'll no doubt have that Bryson lad on spouting nonsense.

It speaks volumes that everyone is against this in NI except the DUP. It's clear to everyone inside the UK and outside that the DUP don't speak for the people of NI.

    You nailed it

Or change the way the vote works; have to vote positively to leave EU regulations. Put themselves at risk of being victims of PoC abuse.

We called it right, no DUP available and Jim Allister!

EDIT: Looks like every party except DUP have sent people.

Jim is a creationist. As you watch him speak, keep in mind that Jim believes that the Universe, the Sun, the Earth and its inhabitants are only 10,000 years old.

SO i guess the EU are gonna send some heavy's around to strong arm us - its to be expected - BoJos genius deal needs to go through and the EU know it - the mask has slipped!

Any word on the express yet? if the telegraph wanna use this nonsense the Express must be even worse!

It's true. The EU Commission have made us an offer we couldn't refuse.

€530m funding for the Celtic Interconnector to France.

Meanwhile on Nolan it was mentioned that if the DUP pull the plug on the non-deal then it would affect the single energy market so not quite the same energy security.

Also the leader of the party that complained at McDonalds in Ballymena for having a 'Yield' sign at their drive through. Up here we 'Give Way' apparently.

Neale Richmond going much harder on proposals, saying it's a step backwards on BBC 2 Newsnight.

Good man Jim. I'll send him a Géill Slí sign.

Whilst I think there are people out to make money on this, I think it is as a consequence not a cause.
You might have missed the aforementioned Crispin Odey's quote on brexit result eve: "The morning has gold in its mouth" (He's reported to have made £300 million that day). I'm by no means a conspiracy theorist, but he's a big donor to Johnson and when you have the governor of the BoE projecting up to a 25% drop in sterling if there's a hard brexit, how hard would it be to resist the temptation to make it so?

I find Neale one of the best spokesman for Irelands interests in Brexit. I always find he really knows his stuff

He must have thought 'Yield' was an Irish word.

The host tried to put the blame on Ireland for the current brexit mess, we should just accept it because the British parliament are happy with it

Jim Allister talking over everybody again. So tedious.

It went right over Richmonds head that any deal needs a majority in the HoC. He's still clinging to the backstop deal that failed a vote 3 times in the HoC. Round we go again.

Buzzfeed news have seen an email where Boris Johnson's senior aides(presumably Cummings and that lot) have "ordered conservative MPs" to brand the the EU as "crazy" if the EU rejects the new deal the U.K. is trying to push. I wouldn't be trilled if I was an MP and I was been ordered to do anything by some unelected aide of the leader.

Newsflash...any deal needs HoC approval. Do you understand that?

In fairness it wasn't Jim himself it was a member of his party. They also were outraged that manhole covers in Ballymena had the word 'uisce' on them.

Reasons like this are why I wouldn't listen very much to anything the TUV has to say on Brexit. They're entirely blinkered by their hatred of Irish things.

Yes I do understand that...but just because it's good for British, Europe should just accept...Europe should only allow a deal that suits Europe too...if that means No Deal so be it. It'll be tough on Us and our neighbors in the north, but that will be London's fault

An interesting tweet from Robert Peston as mentioned on Nolan just now:

    https://twitter.com/Peston/status/1179484480911884290

Making it up as they go along.

The DUP were banging on about consent all last week.

Has that fact escaped you too? There's not a chance the HoC would accept this and here's another newsflash for you, the EU27 have to agree with it first.

These suggestions from Johnson, and that's all they are, really don't deserve to be called, proposals, are not meant to go anywhere. They are about a blame game to up his chances in the GE.

Brexiteers are always going to blame Ireland or the EU. They will never accept the blame it caused itself.

It hasnt been put to the HoC yet so stop making things up. Lets see what happens if it is put to the HoC.

The Green flag waving, Brit bashing, is beyond tiresome at this stage.

A deal has to be struck and that means a compromise on both sides.

As for Irish people thinking a No Deal is a positive, get real. It would be a disaster for this country.

    No he doesn't.

Creation happened at 6 pm on Saturday 22 October 4004 BC.

Maybe so. Or maybe his bluff should be called. Its encumbant on everyone to try to avoid a No Deal.

Why would a region the voted remain vote for this fudge? This is being made up on the fly

There running it up the flagpole, hoping to get an immediate backlash. They really think everybody else isn't seeing through the moves they make. Then we know, a genius, is in charge of this.
