Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I want to sell a single a product on line.

It will be one product, set price. I need a domain, hosting, email and eCommerce portal.

What is the cheapest option available to achieve this.

Domain name from €5 per year depending on tld
Hosting €5 a month including email
    Single web page
    Free ssl cert
    Paypal account and Paypal button.

Whether this would convince anybody to part with their money is another question.
You need about, returns, privacy and a whole load of other pages for the site to look "real".
Whether you sell one product or hundreds the need of the supporting pages is the same.

Above that there are several platforms that have ecommerce options.
wix, shopify, woo etc. or sell on ebay or amazon.

To answer in a meaning full way -
What is your budget? What are your expected sales? What is your product, and price? Is it physical or digital? One off or recurring? How discerning are your potential customers?
If your site does not match your customers expectations you won't get much sales.

A digital service. Testing the water and want to keep it as cheap as chips for now.

Cost per transaction will be €250.

You could get it all under one roof at www.shopify.ie. €30/month. I'd imagine at €250 per sale, the first sale will pay for the month.

In my opinion, it would be a better option to start selling your product on any marketplace like Amazon, eBay etc. Here, you would need less investment and would able to engage good audience. Secondly, to start your own store, you would need professional service like you will need to add products, payment options and shopping carts etc.

From here you can get some budget idea about starting an prdouct store online https://www.atlanticbt.com/insights/how-much-does-ecommerce-website-cost/.

Indeed, don't spend money on your own site when there are many good marketplaces out there.

Yeah! You can also consider many marketplaces and as a free option, you should consider placing an ad at Facebook Marketplace with some customizations. Yes, there you can go with any specific location and other details etc.
