    23rd Place - REM - Country feedback

So a lot of songs were borderline country, this song can't see the line, the line is a dot to this song

Just cause it has country in the title does not make it a country song, great song, sh!t choice for this category -
    Joban

Are we sure MIck is not actually a cannibal?

I have no idea why I find that so funny but I'm cacking myself here :pac::pac::pac::pac:

1st Place - Jason Isbell - Live Oak

Loved this, was top for a long time

Loved this from the first time I heard it, amazing voice and song, love this live version of it too. Very close with the Steve Earle song but this song is just too good

    Thanks a million
    Ectoplasm
, you were right I'd say we do have very similar tastes in music

I will defend REM until my dying day, even if that means calling them country...

Final scores guys, well done to Spook_ie on his winning debut, Wings did you proud. Hard luck to Molly but like I said you're probably not too upset to be losing points to Billy Ray Cyrus. Shout out to Ecto for a solid showing after a poor start

Thanks for playing guys, really enjoyed it although I'll be happy to get listening to my own choices again but theres a load of music I'll be checking up mainly The Tallest Man on Earth and The Decemberists

    Well done Spook!
    And well played tonight Ecto

Thanks G&R, monumental effort made to look effortless :)

From a personal point of view, comments like this are why I play, so thanks for that...

10th Place - Enter Shikari - Gandhi Mate, Gandhi

This is just noise, really, really bad noise, Mrs G&R asked "what is that sh!t" when I put it on in the kitchen. And yet here we are, the more I listened the better it became, I laughed out loud at the "Gandhi mate, remember gandhi"

Brilliant pick, 10 points for Electric Nitwit

I would advise everyone to listen to this song

Thanks G&R that was great - lots of good music choices to listen back to. Congrats to Spook on the top spot - the final table is out of order on mobile view but I don't think I came last or even second last - hard luck Joban/Banjo :")

Cheers for running Green. That was a might fun walrus and picked up a few tunes and artists I’d not listened to before at all

That’s the best I’ve ever got in a walrus!

Me too. Top half. I'll take that.

Good stuff, GnR! I liked your reveal method and your mini competitions.

    Congrats Spook.

Ah I knew the Country round would pull me down. I'm not a big country fan at all. Congrats spookie, and well done G&R for running this whilst winnjng Werewolf at the same time. A mammoth feat!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Sorry I missed the final reveal but great fun catching up. Except Camouflage, being the greatest song of all time, should have won the whole thing for me.
I believe Joban has taken this as a sign that they should not be playing, and also that this "****" could "**** right off"
For the record, I did not edit the Wikipedia article. Nor do I need to - Country music isn't a guitar. It isn't a banjo. It's a feeling. Not my words, the words of top gear magazine Waylon Jennings. Waylon "Dukes of Hazard Theme Tune (why did no one submit that?)" Jennings. And there ain't no more country feeling than laying out a ****ty relationship bare.... I digress!

    Cheers G&R!

I hope Joban took it in the spirit it was intended, if she didnt I suggest she sets up a band called the "The Banjo String Players" and does a rap/country mash up ala Lil Nas/Billy Ray Cyrus and Old Town Road

I really thought Copperline would top 3, but very happy with 4th.

How on earth had you never heard of Copperhead Road ? :D

Songs about Copper are obviously very popular with you :pac:
