Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. In at No. 2 - Al Greene - Lets Stay Together

This was No. 1 for a long time and really just missed out cause I knew this and the other song was new to me. What a tune, I can just imagine
    Ectoplasm
    smoozing her way through this

    Great pick

    23rd - Jim O'Rourke - Something big

Maybe it was just the creepy pic on the video but I needed a shower after listening to this

I've let one massive shoehorn of a song in for a later category so I wasn't adverse to that but just what the f**k

    No spoiler for OSH

Maybe I should have submitted the original by Burt Bacharach. I didn't think the album cover would be what you base the decision on...

Also I like that cover :D

The best holiday I've ever been on has been to Cinque Terrre in Italy

    80.jpg

All these little restaurants and bar down winding stairs that all lead to the sea. Literally the most beautiful place I've ever seen, add in the food and wine, it was a dream.

The winner reminded me of that holiday, I could imagine it been played while we relaxed with red wine after dinner

1st Place - Andrea Bocelli - Love in Portofino

It also sounds like it would be an epic aisle song

    Top marks to

Ahhh ya, I deffo have to go there some time it looks gorgeous, Andrea Bocelli is also 1 of my all time favourite singers.

You can watch 47 minutes of the concert on Viemo, it really is beautiful looking and sounding

Fair enough. Just be better if you based it on the song imo. I'd be fine if you didn't like the song.

I might need a big lead before the names round :p

Ouch! Wasn't expecting top marks here or anything (weddings are not really my thing) but didn't think it would be quite that bad. :( If I hadn't already used "Into My Arms" for Necro and Stu's Walrus it probably would have been my first choice here. I did wonder if "Today" was perhaps more of a first dance song than a walk up the aisle song, but the lyrics at least seemed to fit the occasion and the melody is beautiful (or I think it is, anyway). Ah well, can't please everyone I guess.

Anyway I've never been up the aisle and that's not likely to change in the foreseeable future, so at least you haven't pissed all over a cherished memory or anything.
