It's fine if that type of high school show is your thing. No politics in it though so title is dubious.

Enjoyed the first few episodes but quality trails off badly towards the end.

I thought the high school side wasn't that important, that it's just the stage for the events. Later on, most of the action happens outside the high school, actually.

I just finished the season today, and it's clearly setting things up for season two.

I mean, Judith Light and Bette Midler? I don't think we're going to run short of snark.

And a stage that you have to put up with. It is called the politician and there are just annoying smart-arse teenagers in high school. Really done with shows that force you to work your way through dross or sludge in the loose claim that it is worth it. Not for me I realised very quickly but I did want to draw attention to the false premise.

The actors looked far older than the age they were supposed to be.

It starts well in my view and then goes off the rails half way through.

Bette and Judith will be good additions
