Remortgage or Loan

    Hi, We currently have our mortgage with BOI. Our family is growing and so we are looking to build an extension and also convert our attic. Just wondering, how difficult is it to remortgage? Is is the same process as applying from the beginning (i.e. long and drawn out) or would we be better off taking out a large home improvement loan?
