So you've gone from having a better career than most of us, to simply having a job?

You are struggling to read. I replied to Idbatterim, but it's really upset you Mr gecko.
I'm laughing heartily at you here.

Your earlier post was bigotry plain and simple. You are following it up with more of the same.

Laugh away! You're giving all of us a good chuckle yourself, I must say. :D

Hopefully there's an ambulance service in that rural hamlet of yours as you seem on the verge of a heart attack.
You haven't the courage to put on record your political leanings, you are not worthy of any more of my time.

I am indeed. From loling at the high flying Murphy voter.

Will my VHI do anything for my ambulance bill in the communist utopia tell me?

    Thought not.

On-topic: As the Irish Times reports, the launch of Murphy's new group means that Ireland’s political left now has no fewer than 15 groups and parties.

    It's a beautiful illustration of a self-defeating strategy.

If we keep it up we could have more posts on this thread than he has Twitter followers.

We're getting there! RISE has 301 followers now.

imagine having more parties than actual electable candidates representing the exact same demographics.

Good advice. I need to be up in the morning to get to my high flying job as a stockbroker in Baggott Street.

    Solidarity with the proletariat comrade!

If calling you out on your nonsense is, in your limited vocabulary, defined as being a "right wing bigot" then that's a badge I'll wear with pride.

It's amazing how many people want to plot the overthrow of the very economic system that turned Ireland into a developed first-world country.

Thankfully the electorate has always resoundingly rejected this claptrap at the ballot box. So they are left to argue among themselves and splinter into ever-more sub-groups.

You are one, calling people you don't agree with 'semi civilised parasites' is proof of that fact. I've reported that post by the way, in case you might be wondering.

Congratulations - Paul will be very pleased with your efforts and may even give you a kit-kat (two fingered) when the pair of you next meet up.

I think their long term aim is just to form so many parties that finding the one you actually want to vote for is hard with a 15 foot long ballot paper so you might just get lazy and tick any random left box.

Made all the more difficult by the fact that they're all the exact same...

I can’t stand Murphy he is the archetypal Champagne socialist.
From a privileged background and never had to work a day in his life yet he is the self proclaimed expert on and voice of the ‘workers’.

He’s like a priest giving advice on raising a family.

I've no problem with it, so long as the bigots like Portsalon are removed. I'd prefer if others had the courage to state their own political beliefs and leanings but if they are ashamed or embarrassed to do so, that's understandable.

There is a serious political problem in the wider left.

Worse now that 20 years ago.

That is before you even look at the divergent views between those they target for views and their activists. Which is incredible.

"Well hello there and how do you do Mr high flying Murphy voter? My name is rural dweller and I'm backing Redmonds boys by voting for the IPP."

Maybe if we all introduced ourselves like that before we posted? Would that work? Could we validate Murphys communist manifesto based on other people's political leanings?

Terry Del's definition of "bigot": anyone who disagrees with him and regards his half-baked, socialist 101 scribblings with a mixture of contempt, sympathy and distaste.

And now I'm off to sunnier climes! I'll be back soon after the budget, tanned, refreshed and raring to go! ;)

That was in response to another poster mocking murphys supporters for not having jobs. I merely pointed out that I'm proof of the fallacy of that blatant bigotry. You seem to be getting very worked up, go invest in a good mattress and have a lie down sweetheart.

That isn't what you said. You said you were fairly certain that you'd a better career than him.

Now you are calling out people for not revealing their political preferences while you proclaim you have a great career and refuse to say what it is.

Did Murphy consider that "Rise" in Irish is ... Éirígí?

The Left has always had a strange type of self-hatred.

Their default position is to oppose everything but ask them to formulate any policy positions of their own and the cracks soon start to appear.

If it didn't entail the economic destruction of the country, it would almost be funny to give them decade to enact their policies and see how they actually manage to Govern.

They appeal, almost exclusively, to the hard of thinking. It's why I'm a big supporter of investment in education, I'd especially like to see basic economics taught in secondary school. I believe that the more educated the electorate, the better the politicians we'll end up with

Standard boo hoo response here is "it wasn't Paul Murphy that bailed out the banks", while ignoring that seizing private property and running private enterprise from the country makes bailing out the banks look like Einstein levels of intelligence.
