He’s on rte 1 radio for talking absolute gibberish about rising and mobilizing the people.

As I said how are these people given so much airtime?

If a TD sets up a new party/vanity project, they get airtime, especially if they make it convenient for the political correspondents by staging their launch in Buswell's. Doesn't matter whether they're right or left. Even Renua, despite no longer having any elected representatives, were still being given airtime until very recently.

Why would it be over? Plenty more you could discuss if you wanted such as his economic policies, being elected to break the law, etc.

But he is "minor league" (I agree BTW), so which politicians are not minor league and can be discussed in detail outside FF & FG?

You've yet to speak on his policies. Please do. Curious myself.

Strange thing is he and his ilk get a massive amount of airtime and platform from the media.

I scratch my head that they are on everyday rambling about something.

It shows which side the media swing to in Ireland.

    No they don't.
No it doesn't. Are you suggesting the media are bias towards Paul Murphy and Gino?
Did this include Dobbo and his fools comment re protesters?

Christy is going to clue us in.

They are called the tax payer and it gets shook quite often.

Absolutely no need to rely on me to provide information about his policies. Some of the recent comments referred to them and he has a shiny new website you can refer to.

Well you nailed that anyway, fair play

ahh it was always going to be, any chance to appeal to the hearts and minds of school kids and college students who still believe money grows on trees and Paul will be there. Now he gets to harness the power of a 16 year old Swedish girl as his latest excuse to shout at buildings and trap women in cars.

My bad. I read it like you wanted to discuss him and the policies. Go on, he's a bit baldy, say that ;)

I don't see how this "new" party is all that different from what he was spouting previously?

A bit more in-your-face "Bring on the revolution, comrades!" in terms of branding, perhaps, but there's nothing all that markedly different -- the usual rants against capitalism and the regular demands for free everything.

This is just a vanity project for Dole Pot. He gets to take the ball home with him, and can fall asleep imagining he’s Ireland’s answer to Lenin.

Paul believes everything should be decided by a democratic vote and when one such vote went against him, he could not act against the democratic will of the organisation so he quit the organisation to allow him maintain his personal position on the matter.

Seeing as you are so hard on people who are questioning Murphy, why don't you set out for us how great his policies are, how they will work, where the finance will come from?

If I thought that you could answer, I'd get out the popcorn.

The epitome of a populist politician.

So he's gone all eco friendly now has he? Surprise surprise. The fact that it's the main topic of conversation in the world for the last few years didn't have an influence, did it?

He just jumps on the bandwagons. He will just tie this now into poor people and he's set.

Free public transport, a four day working week for the same wages as 5, free everything for those who cannot be arsed to get up out of bed and taxes to the hilt if your working..... Murphy is an absolute bellend.

    Yup as expected.

How does recommend 15 quid an hour minium wage and expect prices to stay the same ?

Double corporation tax potentially putting thousands out if work but it's ok it also says he will rise the dole and stop asking jobseekers to find work..... All while nationalising everything

The party's tag line should be "Make Ireland starve again"

Double corporation tax eh? Doesn't seem very fair on the small business owners and self employed contractors around the country. But I guess Paul knows best.

He read the communist manifesto so.

You’d be very well vetted first to see if you’ve impeccable socialist credentials. Outsiders are viewed with a suspicion that borders on hostility - the thing with the looney left is that they preach about a mass movement of the people, while really hating people.

The non-sectarian thing is classic Trot - the Trots believe that Ireland should be part of an international confederation of socialist states - the headquarters in London are big into this point.
