Woohoo everything is free. I'm going in after lunch to tell my boss to stick his job. Wall to wall daytime tv here I come.

Bear in mind that the little turd and his gormless comrades (hi Matt!) will have to win at least 70 Dail seats before they can start destroying the capitalist system.

Tis kinna funny and sad to see the libertarians blow their load in here

There’s less libertarians in Ireland than there are communists. It’s just people having a laugh making fun of the latest split, and the creation of yet another grouping by a jumped-up socialist with a Lenin complex. Harmless stuff really.

You don't have to be a libertarian to find Paul Murphy ridiculous.

I do find it odd, and somewhat pathetic that people believe they must attack politicans personally, these people should be respected, I'd imagine it's not a particularly easy job, and that goes for politicans that have opposing views to my own.

What makes someone like Murphy ridiculous in your mind?

    You've obviously haven't meet many.

My job brings me into contact with TD's on a irregular basis. While some are undoubtedly decent guys doing a good job, I have met a few others that I would class others as among the most pig-ignorant people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

You mean like the way Paul Murphy and his comrades consistently attack other politicians personally?

You think politicians automatically deserve respect, just for being politicians? How about someone like Donald Trump—do you respect him?
What makes someone like Murphy ridiculous in your mind?

Absolutely everything about him. He comes from a relatively privileged background but presents himself as the voice of working-class Ireland. He hasn't a notion how a real economy works — has he ever had an actual job? — but that doesn't stop him from trying to foist his Students' Union–level posturing on the entire country. His pronouncements and his policies are a joke from beginning to end. Just read the new website he launched today and let us know how the country will pay for all the free stuff he wants to give away and all the sectors of the economy he wants to nationalize.

Don't be a tit. Never voted for the lad and thanks for proving my point that you've no point. The chap is practically insignificant but blamed for everything others do that you don't like. Name one policy he introduced?

I wonder what "free internet" will look like in the new socialist Ireland.

Probably slower than dial-up and monitored constantly for dissident capitalist activity.

Remind me when he was last in government and I'll be able to answer that one for you straight away.

    Alternatively, stop asking imbecilic questions.

Fascinating, self-penned CV - what a great guy Paul (thinks he) is!

No mention of his expensive private education or, rather surprisingly for a self-professed "feminist" no reference to his Detroit-born, Iranian Muslim partner - but perhaps he doesn't want his electorate to know about these things.

An environmental group that don’t want water charges, or water meters. Jesus, I’d love to work out the thought processes behind that one.

"Radicals" with private school educations and cushy TDs' salaries and pensions
"Internationalists" with not a non-white, non-Irish face in sight
"Socialists" who oppose property taxes that would be disproportionately paid by the wealthy
"Environmentalists" who oppose water charges that could be used to improve infrastructure and prevent water loss

Since when does your wealth or lack of limit your politics?
They should shoe horn in a minority for optics?
Some view as an extra tax some can't afford.
'Could' if there was any money left after the consultants, laughing Yoga and Dinny's wedge.
