Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This ref is ****. Ireland pinged for offside but not Japan.

    It's a pen.

But it's so galling how he can spot this but not obvious Japanese infringements at the breakdown.

    This a 100%

    7 points down....what a disaster of a performance

Ireland have been very poor. No excuses there but the reffing has been disgraceful.

Keep the host nation in it as long as possible must be a directive from the IRB

When you're allowed to get away with everything it helps. Illegally slowin down Ireland, getting penalties awarded constantly.

It's a disgraceful display of refereeing. It's shameful.

It’ll be washed over by the media because of the magnitude of the loss.

Lads there only so much you can blame the ref for.

Ireland have been piss poor. That team should be doing a hell of a lot better than it is.

The lack of control from Ireland is scary

Rolland already went through his refs for a shortcut after the first block of games. Clearly it had little effect.

    Maybe it’s because of that!!

Japan by far the better team. Basic skills handling etc far better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,569 ✭✭✭mugsymugsy

At 60 mins Ireland should have wrestled the game and played to their strengths. The Helter skelter last 10 mins was crazy.

Needed leadership from the senior players

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,380 ✭✭✭STB.

Angus has been averaging 23 penalties per game.

Ireland have been poor. The ref has however been worse. Just as bad as he was back in Cardiff in March.

The simple fact is we were arrogant and did not prepare correctly for this game

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,632 ✭✭✭the.red.baron

    Stop bellyaching on the ref

They didn't show up at all, can't get the ball

So what do you do, let's give it back to them all game

If they win this and lose to Scotland well then

Head to head? How will that work

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,186 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

Ref has been an utter joke. He shouldn’t be let near a rugby game never mind an Ireland match

Can the use of the word Eire cop a ban?

Anyone using it is not worth their place on the forum.

They haven't helped let's be honest...I think we would be ahead without such a horribly bad ref.

    Crappy kick...useless

    Poor officiating.

But we were always going to struggle in a game of this pace.

They did. It's the refs fault for not awarding clear and obvious penalties though and then awarding ones that he's nowhere near.

It's simple things and they can change momentum easily.

Can the use of the word Eire cop a ban?

Anyone using it is not worth their place on the forum.

What's the context behind it? I obviously know what Éire means, but why are people using it to (presumably) wind-up others, and why does it wind-up others?

Genuine question, I'm only a casual fan.
