The Sopranos - great story arc and interesting characters

Love/Hate is neither something I love nor Hate, it is good but the show it wants to be is The Sopranos, the show any show in that genre wants to be is The Sopranos.

So you have the sopranos versus the cheap irish knock off.

    Love/Hate

Gotta give some love to Irish shows. For an Irish production, it's very well done.

Eugh.....The Sopranos here....but its very nearly Love/Hate because at least with the ending you get some closure.

I just cannot think of a single weak character in The Sopranos though which is why its ahead for me

    The Sopranos.

Because whilst Love/Hate stands up against some shows across the pond - Sopranos pisses all over it in terms of:

    Acting
    Production values
    Storylines.

    Vote The Sopranos

I take it all back you heathen

Sopranos, its head and shoulders above Love/Hate, LH is great but does anyone really think they would vote for it in this match up if it wasnt Irish..

Sopranos. Super stuff. The episode directed by Buscemi is incredible.

Love/Hate. Overrated. If it weren't Irish many would just give it a miss.

In the words of Heisenberg with some alteration

"Love/Hate is just some tepid, off-brand, generic cola. The Sopranos is classic Coke."

    Sopranos.

As good as love/hate is, Sopranos is just far better

Love Hate is great and stands up to a lot of stuff across the water, but it's nowhere close to the top tier shows like Sopranos. James Gandolfinis performance blows it out of the water alone.

    Voting Sopranos here

I will vote love hate, some of the most gripping telly I've watched.

Only thing I remember about the sopranos is dont stop believing. Well actually I've never watched it, maybe its good, who knows.

Love/Hate is the greatest Irish show ever.

Sopranos is still better though, both great shows. Excellent characters in both but there isn't a bad one in the Sopranos

    Sopranos for the vote

Love/Hate gets my vote because its Irish + can relate to it.

Love Hate was brilliant but it has to be the Sopranos. So many likable gangsters and a special mention for Paulie.

Love/Hate, because it demonstrates what RTE can achieve if they put their mind to it.

The Sopranos show their class and dispatch Love/Hate with ease.

    Sopranos advance 16- 5.

First semi final will be at 7.30pm. I think the same timeframe will cover it. 1 hr, show with most votes (with valid reasoning) will advance to the grand final.
